Our Ponds

Our ponds serve several purposes...water management, beautification, and satisfaction of Windsor Pointe’s requirements from the Village as part of the PUD (planned use development) under which this subdivision was built.

As a part of the PUD, the Association is required to maintain the area around the ponds with natural prairie plantings. To satisfy those requirements, over the years we have contracted for controlled burns and other maintenance as recommended by experts in the field. It is important to remember that naturalized areas, once established, provide a beautiful environment with a minimum of maintenance (aka expense to the HOA).

Residents are encouraged to enjoy the ponds -- walking around them or catch-and-release fishing. Please remember that mowing, cutting, planting and dumping destroy the naturalized environment and may result in avoidable expense for the Association.
